Foam fire extinguishers
Foam fire extinguishers are designed for putting out class A fire-solid materials on fire (paper, wood, textile) and burning liquids(oil, petrol, alkohol). Fire extinguishers using foam as agent are designed for class A and B fires and best suited for chemical plants and oil refineries.

The PE2AFB / ETS foam fire extinguisher is specialised equipment for fire classes A, B and also class F, which means putting out burning plant or animal fat or oil in meal preparation. While potato chip fryers and other hot oil equipment are spreading rapidly, the threat of fire and burn injuries is growing. Looking at growing numbers of deaths by burns in the gastronomic business VÍTKOVICE HTB responded by developing a new type of fire extinguisher. F class fire cannot be put out safely with standard extinguisher relying on dry powder, CO2 or generating standard foam. VÍTKOVICE HTB developed a special foam fire extinguisher that forms and keeps a continuous foam film on the surface of hot oil. The film causes dramatc temperature drop thus reducing the amount of hot vapour from the fire.
